Hello all. Just found this rather cool place, and thought I'd say "Hi!" I'm from the Lake District, which is about as far North as you can go without hitting Scotland.
I'm 37 and my great love is field archery, and the highlight of my year is spending 4 or 5 days in the woods with my bow and arrows, a large knife and 3 barrels of beer. (Dirty job but someone has to do it!) unfortunately, Job/divorce/daughter and a couple of martial arts clubs I "inherited" have conspired to keep me and Ivy Jane (my longbow) away from the woods for the last 12 months or so, but this year I WILL get back out there. It's rather sad that I take all the local scenery for granted, but I DO manage a whistful look as I'm driving my bus past the lakes and fells.
Well- enough rambling from me.
