View Full Version : My possibles pouch just arrived
.............from the Made in Cumbria site.
The picture is in the gallery - can anyone get it to show up here???
£10.80 including postage.
You get to choose the colour of the leather. It has an interesting looking but secure closure. It is machine stitched but looks tough enough to pu up with quite a bit of punishment.

15 x 13 x 5 cm according to the website.
I would love to see the "medium brown" version and the belt loop.

Darn good prices there! Great link!
I have emailed this outfit but as of yet, no response. :?:
I like the look of that Black Jack Tankard. I'm up for one if it holds a pint :biggthump

Better if it holds a bit more... about a pint and a quarter.
Room for the head, on proper beer.
And stamped on the underside "pint to brim" ;)
Keith.
Nice looking pouches Crofter - how thick is the leather, if i might be so bold?
a proper Black Jack is a leathe flagon and normally held 2 pints!

Didnt he make knives once?
Gary,
the website says 2.6 to 3mm thick and I've just looked at mine and would agree.
Hoodoo,
they seem to be a small Cumbrian outfit and it took a while for me to initially get a response. Once I hab ordered the pouch came very quickly. I have a medium brown one on the way so will post a picture as soon as it arrives.

Cheers mate, sounds like the dogs dangly bits - I might even get the lad one!
Gary,
I've just been on the 'phone to her and she says that she has just had an order from a scout troop in Sweden and a couple from the US.
She doesn't mind if I give out her 'phone Number but I expect their lead time may go up if they are inundated.
I've just ordered a large belt pouch, they also do a small one with a popper fastener.

They only accept cheques but the MIC site accepts plastic.
Good luck

Many thanks mate, a rush isnt needed as its for my son so he can look like a proper bushcrafter at the next ashdown meet. I'll give her a ring when I get back from Norway.

Crofter,
"I've just ordered a large belt pouch, they also do a small one with a popper fastener"
The one pictured in the thread is that the "Large Belt Pouch" that you ordered? or is it bigger then the 15 x 13 x 5 cm? that is picured in the thread.
Also I would very much like to see the Medium Bown colored one, anybody have a picture?

Is a "popper" a snap (a rivetted round metal shell that "snaps" over a round rivetted post) or is it a sort of bolt head looking stud that a leather keeper slips over ala Billingham bag?
I am very interested in both sizes of these. I cannot wait to see pictures.
Bagheera,
the pouch in this thread is the same dimensions as the medium leather pouch on their website. Apparently the large leather pouch is exactly like the "small leather shoulder bag" on theri site but without the shoulder strap. I'll post more when mine arrives.
Schwert,
when you receive a pouch, they also send a small leaflet with a few pictures of the other things that they make. That is where I saw the small leather pouch. It has a popper as per your first description and the lady described it as a large purse with one compartment.
