View Full Version : Bodhran
I've never used it - just can't get the technique right, it was newly skinned with proper goat when I bought it. Comes with a Yew wood beater. It has a cross piece. I can Email photos.

What is it Realgar? :?: :?:
A pic would help
Bill
Its an Irish drum, the one I nearly baught was about 15" diameter, with celtic symbols around the wood.
Looks a bit like a large tambourine without the cymbals.
Its quite a knack to play properly.

You know how rock musicians make jokes about drummers?
You should hear some of the ones Bodhran palyers that the folkies bandy about....
Can't think of a single one that's going to get past the moderators...

Just PM it to them?
Well if you know that they will take it the right way.
