What wild tisane do you like best?
I think mine is yarrow.I tried yarrow leaves and meadowsweet leaves mixed the other day and very nice it was. I've tried them seperately before but they go well together too. You'll have to be quick though as meadowsweet is getting a bit ropey this time of year.
Quick question, is meadowsweet more common down south?
I have had a good look for meadowsweet recently with no luck.

I believe it's fairly widespread but especially abudant in the south - south west.
I went to the Gower peninsula a couple of years ago for a holiday and there was loads of it growing along the roadsides. It flowers from around june - august so may be more difficult to spot at this time of year as it's starting to die off, but it's still there if you look. Try searching in damp meadows, woodland edges or marshland.
The flowers and roots contain salicylic acid (aspirin) and the tea made from the flower heads makes a good mild pain killer, and tastes pretty good. You can use the leaves too for tea.
