What do the following refer to on my bag
130-9349
RUCKSACK LONG
SL 32A/4494
CWL 1989 A
is this pre plce?
whch side pockets are the correct type to fit.
Sounds like a long back PLCE Bergen....
A picture of course would help.
All PLCE Zips are pretty much of a muchness so a set of later DPM pouches will fit onto an earlier Green bergan and vice versa. Also the pouches from a Berghaus Vulcan will fit.
Also you can zip on PLCE compatible stuff like medic pouches etc
Where you run into problems is with the older pouches from a Bergaus Crusader. These has a different zip.
Hi, this is the first olive green PLCE longback bergan.
'8465-99-130-9349' is the Nato stock number for the bergan.
'Rucksack long' is a longback bergan (some have shorter backs).
'SL32A' is the manufacturing order/contract number
'CWL' is the maker, made in 1989.
Britsh army (olive & DPM) PLCE pouches and modern karrimor pouches will fit.
Hope this helps.

Hi mate,
Mine is a (O.G. short back)
and says:
978 5362
sack short
??/38?/8260
1991
Iv'e had a close look at my zips and on the back they all say (sack and pockets):
"VISLON YKK 10V"(if that's helpful)
I had a Berghaus crusader pocket as a swap, and also found the zips incompatible.
