I feel a bit daft asking this, but you know the auscam hootchies with which we are all familiar? Do they clip together?

They look like they do right. I need a bit more space/flexibility tarpwise. But it wasn't until I was just about to press PAY NOW for a second one, that I realised I haven't ever seen two together to check, nor have I checked if they are accurately manufactured to a standard pattern - for tautness sake you understand :)

Does anyone know if any two randomly selected auscam hootchies will clip together reasonably?

All and any advice gratefully received :)

Thanks

I had one and can't remember

You can check yourself though.
1. Get the tarp
2. Set yourself in the living room
3. Get SWMBO to make a cup of tea
4. Spread out the tarp on the ground
5. Fold the tarp along the ridgeline in half
6 There are press studs (sp?) on the tarp: male / female ones
7. If it's possible to clip on other tarps (of the same make) you should be able to push the press studs and create a makeshift bivvy.

:D

I'm 99.9% sure the original ones do clip together, like Johan says if you can clip the sides of one together then two should be okay.

I haven't got mine available to look right now as I've lent it out to somebody.

Yes they do (obviously assuming the design hasn't changed!) - my two are about two years old, and I had them clipped together at the Moot to make a good size family/cooking area.

Depends on who made them. I have two from Woodlore one OG and the other AusCam, they do clip together but with some interesting results.
There was a bit of a overhang with the OG one. The clips did line up and I could clip on at the end just a bit of overhang.

I'm pretty sure the OD one is supposed to a bit bigger and stronger, don't know for sure but it seems to ring a bell

Not tried clipping them together though...yet...
