I'm getting ready to make leather sheaths for a couple of Moras (a #1 and a #2), and I'm at a bit of a loss on how to deal with the taper at the top. I'd enjoy seeing pictures of the work of the folks here who've done that project.

Bob by taper I assume you mean the slight clip point, my advice would be dont worry about it. I made a sheath (standard fold over) for a Mora I fitted with a antler handle and it works just fine. If the clip were more pronounced like a bowie it might make a difference but for a Mora it doesnt IMO.
For knife questions you might want to try British Blades, that forum has a whole section on sheath making.
