View Full Version : Clothing for the LARGER frame :-)
Hello, a newbie to the forum and I thought what better way to introduce myself than by heading straight in with a question :-)
I am of a larger frame, 6 foot 5, 44 waist and 52 chest and I have been struggling to find decent clothing to suit our trade that is made for such a size.
I hope I havent missed any similar threads, I have looked but couldnt see anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions with this in mind, particularly along the jacket lines?
Many thanks in advance
Dave

These guys are pretty good and decent sizes. Also very good customer service. I've had two orders from them and both were faultless.

Hi DFCA,
Welcome and a great first question, and Firebringer, great link thank you so much.
Hi again and thanks for all of the very welcome advice so far.
I have kind of talked myself into wanting a Deerhunter jacket, they seem to be of some repute and cover all the bases that I am looking for.
Has anyone had any experience with the Deerhunter jackets? I'm particularly interested in the Ram or the Smallville - the Montana also appeals.
Anyone have any recommendations or warnings maybe?
All the best again

I've got the Montana set and absolutely love it. I do lots of wildlife photography and have it in Realtree APG, which works a treat.

Have been using a full Ram suit for a good few years for stalking in all weathers and it has always done the business for me,completely waterproof, windproof and breathable but you may well want to consider alternative kit the warmer months.

I have a reversible one.
Once the waterproof membrane goes its gone. I've been out insome heavy weather and got soaked. That said, those around me in Belstaff, Musto and Barbour faired little better.
Apart from that great coat.
Check out the Jack Pyke gear, they do a good range for us larger blokes and the kit seems to be pretty good.
Hi. Try 5.11 tactical from ebay or M and M.
Im noranly a large shirt etc but take small with 5.11!
They are a US company and so sizes are bigger!
