I'm after a solid (no folding) spade
The sort that looks like a short spade, with a T handle, pointed shovel(rather than a square one) and is probably only about 2 - 2.5 ft high.

I think they call them 1910 T handle entrenching tools or something similar

I'm planning on using it for a project so it doesn't need to be in A! nick

Can anyone help at all?

Cheers

That looks very similar to the ones we used in the 1970s/1980s to go with the 58 pattern webbing. I'd have thought there would be loads of them around. Have you tried WS Surplus or any of the other surplus suppliers?

Shovel Infantry pattern is the short one , Shovel G.S. the long one ..
Most surplus places have them

Thanks guys,
I'd tried our local surplus store but they only had the flimsy folding ones.
