Galemys says hello!
Hi all of you, I'm 34 years old & work at a laboratory in Amsterdam, Holland. I have studied molecular biology but my current job has more to do with quality control. My personal interests are nature (& all of it's derivations: birds, mammals & other animals, plants, ethnobotany, evolution, indigenous people, islands & other faraway places and -off course- bushcraft) & my '73 Citroën DS, ("Lonneke"), that is, if she wants to start her engine….
I live 10 miles from Amsterdam with my wife & 2 kids.
By the way, my avatar is a pyrenean desman, (Galemys pyrenaicus, hence the nickname) which is a relative of the mole. It has a long tail, a remarkable flexible trunk & it lives in fast flowing rivers in the mountains of Spain, Portugal & France. Still haven't seen one in real life though…
