Hey,
Just wondering if anyone is nearby Sheffield that fancies going out camping/walking or anything? If we can find a few people maybe have a meet?
I'm in Leeds so not too far away. I've had a few "stealth" nights near Ladybower res but that's about all I know over that way.
I'll be up for a meet probably.

I can do meets so long as there not overnighters Its hard to find somone to look after junior overnight and he's too young to bring with me. Wouldnt mind a walk in the hills or somthing.

I'm over the other side of the Peaks, so I'd be up for it.

So does anyone have any ideas? locations? dates?
It's looking like back end of September/October for me Matt, I've got weddings, christenings and holidays in my diary before I'm allowed out to play for a night.
i'm back in september/oct, so thats good for me
oh by the way, if we went into the peaks from sheff, i'd have to blag a lift from someone, can't afford a car

So shall we look at planning something for mid October, what do people fancy doing? If we want a night or 2 we could use a formal campsite as a "base camp" and head out during the day to do bushcrafty stuff? as there will prob be too many of us for a covert mission

I am happy with most things to be fair if we have a base camp lets make sure there is a good pub near by for a pint in the evenings as I dont think we will be sitting round a camp fire on an organised site!!!
I can give people lifts if they get to a designated spot with there kit etc.

Yer, a good pub is a must :)
I'll have a look around, there may be a site that allows fires, maybe the big scout site.

Anyone up for a torch walk on curber edge on the 31st october.
Ghosts, Big Cats, who knows.
My boy and I may be up for a camp-out between now and Christmas over a weekend in or around Derbyshire. Gradbach Scout campsite looks good, assuming that plebs are allowed to use it...

i'm just south of sheffield, M1 J29, and i'm always up for a bit of stealth camping, there's a few good spots near me where we'd get away with a fair sized group as long as we weren't too rowdy. spitewinter scout campsite is pretty good, decent size, decent facilities, they're happy to let anyone camp there, and most importantly i know the blke who runs the pub directly across the road.
