Just a quickie - I'm putting a new horn grip/handle/'end' on a firesteel.
What glue do you use to fix the steel inside the horn? Superglue or Araldite (which is the two I have)?
Really appreciate a speedy reply - I'm in the middle of doing it now!
Cheers all.

i think araldite will be strongest. rough up the two surfaces so the glue will get a better hold.

Araldite. It's much more durable in the longterm.

Definately Araldite. Superglue will fail if exposed to water, and it does degrade after time.

Cheers All.
Araldite it was! It's sitting beside me as I type, glue hardening and all that.
Thanks for the advice.

Just a possibly useful addition. When glueing knife handles, which I'm a complete novice at, I've been told that Devcon 2 Tonne is the stuff to use. It dries and stays completely clear. Don't worry though, I was also told that Araldite works fine.
