instant weather forcasting by alan watts

goes through the basics and covers all the clouds with colour photos and diagrams.

easy to pick up and is a paperback so will fit in your ruicksack about A5 size and floppy!

not sure of the price as it was a gift. but not too bad.

I would go for both.

The Collins gem is a great little book with lots of info.

I managed to get hold of a copy of Instant weather forecasting by Alan watts from my father tonight at a quick glance it looks great. A lot more on predicting from the signs what the change will be in how long etc. If you get what I mean.

The RYA used to publish a wonderful weather book, but it's mostly nautical based. That said, it taught me all I need to know and it's easy to follow.
