I found this small wood burner stove in a clearance bin of a local fishing shop at the weekend and had to buy it just because it was quite unusual and looked like it would be good for carrying when travelling light. Has anyone else used this stove? Is it any good???

That's the Swiss Volcano stove, do a search on the site and you'll find that most folks are not too keen on them...

I have cut a small hole out of the bottom of mine so I can fit my Swedish Trangia stove in it. It works great in conjunction with the Swedish stove mess kits.
Although you can use wood, Swiss Ranger Stoves are designed to use fuel tablets.
I have used wood, a Trangia Stove, Sterno and fuel tabs in mine. Very handy for coffee, cocco, tea or soup.
One other thing.....you can heat up the flask when it is full of water, pop the cork in and use it as a bedroll/sleeping bag warmer.
