Hi, I'd like to know if anyone can make me a Disc knife made from a Pebble, the kind of blade you get, when you hit a peeble hard with another stone,to produce a Sharp piece.
I've tried to do it but I have ran out of Pebbles and I don't seem to be able to get it how I want it anyway.
let me know if you can help
Cheers

Pic ?
Rough drawing?
Are you asking about a flake or something more like a scraper or a very small handaxe/chopper
It sounds like you're after a shard of flint, rather than just any stone... most stones are far too coarse and fragile to make an effective blade. I think there are some alternatives to flint, but I can't remember any offhand...

This picture is from Anthonio Akkermans Bushcraft Skills Book,it's on page 120,
The blade was made by hitting a Pebble with another stone to produce a workable stone blade.

Plain ol' water worn cobbles!
You do not get brilliant knives from this method/material - but when the chips are down then any "sharp" edge is better than none!
Mind your fingers:yikes:
