Anyone know where i can get a full size scythe for a reasonable price? - i mean a new one really not an antique garden ornament.
I've found a web site selling european style scythes but they are a little out of my price range. All i 've been able to find in local DIY shops (sheffield area) are the little one handed scythettes.

The place to get your scythes in the UK is the scythe shop (http://www.thescytheshop.co.uk/)
they have a good selection and keep all the spares. They also run courses on using the scythes and have a rather good book on them
I've no experrience personally, but I know lots of very happy customers of theirs ;)
edit. been thinking about gettin a scythe witha bush blade for work, so looked through their website for the first time in ages. Seems that a couple of friends of mine are making accesories for them now :)
My friend blacksmith Antti makes all kind of tools and knives.
