View Full Version : Free field knife passaround
I have just made a knife for bushy activities and would like some people to put it through its paces for me. The passaround details with a pic are on this link: http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?p=92371#post923 71

Beautiful looking grind. I like that spear point look too. Well done.

Showoff!
:nana:
damn exams  i wanted to try it
oh by the way looks really good :-)
I'll report back once I've had a play but just to say I got a good look at it at the East Midlands BB meetup on Sunday and it's even better in real life than it looks in the piccies. Shing is a top notch knifemaker and his stuff is just as good as all the sharp things we normally talk about!
Cheers

I will second what's just ben said.
One thing that I womderd about was the temper isn't the same. though this is normaly nice it does mean you can't strike a fero rod near the handle end. I found it abit odd when playing with it at the meet up.
It's a lot more heavy duty then I thought it would be as well, I had concerns about battoning a flat grind knife afte snapping one but this baby will take it.
I think I'll ask for a ceramic stone to sharpen knives with for chrismass so I hope I'll keep the edge in good condition whilst it's with me
