New axe shaft

Hello this is my new axe shaft on an old axe head that I cleaned and sharpened. "Hults bruk" is written on the head which is a Swedish brand. The shaft is made of slow grown straight grain birch. It got quite a bite. The head is some decades old but I have no idea exactly how old it is. Maybe I trim the shaft a little :).

That's a fine looking axe Tjurved, good job on the haft.

It's a pity we don't see that style of axe , with the elongated eye, much over here.
Quite fancy one like it :) .
