I found some along the beach.
Look for beaches with cliffs - even small drops will do, as these occasionally corrode, rock slips and exposes some.
I found several pieces along the coast near Little Switzerland in Folkestone, and along near Dover. But I've also found some on long flat beaches like Dungeness as well.
Since you are in Dorset I would have expected there to be loads of appropriate places along the coast. Look for a rusty looking (which it more or less is) staining to rocks and pebbles. You may even find lumps already detached from the stone - will be the size of a finger or so, rusty looking or maybe dark grey/blackish. And when you tap it with something metallic it will give a metallic ring.

Yeah - classic iron pyrites spots! You can find beauitiful ammonite fossils made from pyrites at Charmouth.
