Looking for a location near Margate

Hiya,

I hope this in the right place if not sorry.

I am looking for a get away place that I can camp wild near Margate, mainly there as I have friends there and would be great to be able to see them as well.

Just a quiet spot, that I can have a fire to cook over and well a fire because they are great.

I have tried looking on google map but cant seem to see anywhere.

There's a MASSIVE stretch of woodland to the south of Whitstable/Herne Bay. As you drive along the Thanet Way (A299) if you look in the direction of Canterbury you can't miss it. It looks to be a mix of deciduous and evergreen. Never been up there myself.
If you look on Google maps it lies to the south of the A299 between Herne Common and Pean Hill (don't forget to have it on 'satellite').
Oh yeah, I don't condone wild camping blah blah blah...

rofl ta :) I will look at that in a sec. Im also contacting some local farmers as well to see what they have. In the past i have never had a problem.
