Clay-like in consistency, grey in colour, oval in shape about an inch in length - 3 lumps.
Found in wet woodland - lots of blubells and ramsons about.

Not sure, there wasn't any bone, fur or feathers in it and it was really smooth.

Could be a water vole.

Pics would help, or a better description of scale.
Could be fox, badger (eating meat), unlikely to be water vole.
