I'm packing my rucsac for the weekend away at Comriecroft and I'm pondering.
My nightclothes for sleeping out are basically thermals, and I still get cold even if they are comfortable.:sigh:
Does any company make loose merino tops ? Not the close fitting ones like vests. I need at least a 42" chest and I want loose and roomy and long and a polo neck would be good :) Oh and OD if possible.

Not wanting much, am I ?:o

cheers,
Toddy

I can't remember off hand - but I swear M&S sell merino thermally things. And they were slightly tight at first, but once you wear them a little they do stretch out nicely.

Why not buy a merino top from a High Street shop in extra large? Failing that, they are fairly common in charity shops - and some I've seen even have polo necks.

The extra large one I have is tight round my bust.:o That's one of the reasons I've been wearing the knitted silk ones. I would like a loose, longer, outer layer though, that's why I thought of the merino.

What about bamboo? Not quite as warm as wool but it gets pretty close and is stretchy and very comfortable to wear. Trekmates do a long sleeved top with a high zipped neck which is very comfortable and there is plenty of give in it. Cheaper than merino too.

Can't he;p with a polo neck but I picked up a couple of zip necked merino sweaters a while back (one in OD).

Its yours for the asking
