Hi Guys
I have a very nice Gransfors Small Forest Axe wghich is great and i enjoy using it.
However I want to try and get hold of a throwing Axe...
Does anyone know where I could get one in the UK or of someone who makes them?
Cheers
James
i think GB do a double bit throwing axe but its probably silly money:o also you garenteed to miss your target and hit something hard, taking bit chips out of the blade and handle.
i know nothing about throwing axes but maby get a cheepo B&Q axe or a quality second hand axe from a car boot sale.

Plenty around - there is a double bit in the Gransfors range at one extreme or Cold Steel do a throwing hawk at the other end.
Lots of fun - but not something I would personally do with a "nice" axe ;)

Yeah i'm not really worried bout the cost just enjoy throwing stuff and projecting sharp stuff... make of that what you will.
I have a couple of sets of throwing knives and do quite well with them, and took part in junior Archery competitions when i was younger and love archery still.
I also have a collection of swords but you can't really throw them - they are more for show and fighting with (martial arts)
Thanks for the answers - i knew about the Gransfors but can't find anywhere in the UK that has a price for them. Will keep looking - Any throwing will be done in a private wood so not much chance of hitting something 'that solid'.

Weald and Downland certainly do them and I'm sure Lurch at Lakeland Bushcraft will get them for you
