Hi every one. I dont know if this will help anyone over there on the other side of the pond but may on this side. I've been looking all over the woods where I live trying to find fatwood to no luck. Tonight while shopping for some food at a Safeway supermarket I found a box of fatwood. It was in the section that has the grilling supplys. The box was labled "StarterStikk". The writing on the box was both in English and what I think may be French. Played around with it on the back pourch alittle toinght. Its raining out, so I left some shavings out for about 2 hours. Started up a small pile of fresh shavings and slowly feed the wet shavings to the fire. After sputtering a bit it lit right up. Another good tinder source to add to my fire starting kit. :cold2:
