Hi Tomtom

it is an excellent reference book for home when you open it it is like the print in a dictionary how to fined and identify process everything. but you would need a Field guide as well though i think which i am having trouble getting also just been told by the book shop that Collins gem NATURE GUIDE: HERBS AND HEALING PLANTS OF BRITAIN & EUROPE. is out of print as well :?:

If it's the Grieves Modern herbal, I got mine from a discount bookshop in Glastonbury for a fiver. I have seen it in all manner of shops, and it's well worth it. There is also an online database from this book found at http://www.botanical.com

Just in case you haven't found A Modern Herbal: Volume 2 yet ,or if anyone else is still looking, amazon.co.uk do have it and at a really good price. Here's the link:

A Modern Herbal: Volume 2 at Amazon.co.uk (http://<u>www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0486227995/qid%3D1115283857/026-6831506-6568448</u>)

Both volumes are also available from amazon.com in the US. I've found orders from there arrive pretty quickly.

Someone's also done a fine job of converting it for the web:

It is a really great herbal resource and I have recently added a summary review of the online version here, to add to some of the better online sites for flora & fauna. It is in the sticky thread on Good Flora & Fauna Links (http://www.bushcraftuk.com/community/showthread.php?t=5711&page=1&pp=10). Direct link:

happy foraging :)
