I have one of these lighters :

But I always have massive trouble re-filling it, everytime I do I always end up with lighter fluid everywhere and very little fuel actually in the lighter, I've never found quite the right head to fuel it up with either! Does anyone have any tips on how to re-fill ??

My filling valve is on the underside and if you turn it upside down and use the correct adaptor to fill it, it should fill with a gentle hissing sound until it fills then the gas will not be able to go in as its full, then you'll get the gas going everywhere.

Remember to shake the lighter to get any air bubbles to the top (underside) and have another go just incase.

Hope this helps.

IIRC with mine (which may be a copy of a turboflame) I just used the gas bottle with no additional adapter to fill it

Same here, never yet needed any of the adaptors that either sit around the crimped valve or are moulded into the lid.
