I bought a Stefan Hügel blade from Wayland something like three years ago and am ashamed to say it's lain about for all that time. Recently Bushwhacker Bob as part of a trade mentioned that if I ever needed a knife handled.....
:thinkerg:
It's great to see it on the go! When it arrived yesterday I dropped what I was doing and made up a sheath. Made the most of the sun shining in the window to take some snaps even though there's still work to do on it. Waxing the leather and oiling the wood. Wanted to take a picture before sharpening off the pattern on the bevel too.

Had a disaster with the stich groover(and not for the first time:rolleyes: ). Think I'm going to have to start making templates to run it along or something because freehand I just get into a state.
The blade's 3¼", the handle's walnut, brass and cow bone, the sheath's a mess but at least it's a tight mess and isn't going to drop the knife in a hurry.
I'm well chuffed. Thanks again to Gary and Sean. Once it has an edge on it this'll probably be the most useful knife I've ever had.
