Howdy folks!
I'm going to be buying some black leather thonging, to braid baldrics for knives and to lace up sheaths, et cetera. What I'm wondering about is thickness - would 2mm round be ok, strength wise? Right now I'm using a baldric made from white 2mm twine, the sort you buy in corner shops for 99p a ball.

Advice would be appreciated :D

Cheers and atb

Ye 2mm should be strong enough as long as it's not under about 4-5mm wide. I use 1.8mm veggy all the time for belts, pounches etc so you should be OK.

I use kanagroo for my braiding
It's only about 1mm thick but is stronger than similar cow hide
