I have a quick question for all you khukri users and owners.
I have a khukri pen knife from HI. and I have been thinking about doing a new sheath in leather for it. But I also want to partner it with another smaller knife. But I really can't decide what sort of blade to use.
I can use the khukri for most everything from skinning, carving and chopping. It's not so great in the kitchen though.
So I want something to cover that a lot better. But stil strong enough for notches, and the smaller work.

What would you suggest, a little nessmuk, tanto, small camp?
I have used pukko's and really don't like them.

Either way I want a squarish handle thats fairly slim so the sheath is not as huge as the regular khuk scabbord....

Thanks for any opinions

I read an article on how to turn an 'Old Hickory' skinner into a Nessmuk on British blades:

They have a squarish handle profile and they are not dear but I don't know where you could buy one :( , maybe someone else here can help you there.

Also see this thread on two Nessmuks made from 'Old Hickory' knives :

A Fallkniven F1 has a handle like you describe. I have one they are good and strong.

I'd go with the nessmuck. Avoid tanto like the plague, it's a fighting design and not so useful for bushcraft use.
