Hello all, just thought i'd bob on.
Been having a look on here for a while and it looks like a giggle.
I have dabbled in wood - fire - pottering in the woodland - learning stuff since iwas about 15 and now i'm 33 so i guess it will never stop.
I am a tree surgeon by trade but instruct in the general ins and outs of the arboriculture industry for my sins now, the job came up and i didn't fancy climbing in a Lancashire winter when i got back to the country. Thirteen years of climbing and my back hurt so i just do it part time for fun now!
Still can't beat sitting round the fire for the weekend with nothing to worry about than wood, food and drink, and waking up to seeing your breath and breaking the frost off the bivi bag to the smell of burning wood!
