After about 18 months of being worn very nearly everyday, my Danner Ft. Lewis are just starting to get a little down at heel. Anyone know of someone who can resole them, preferably with the genuine article Vibram soles for sustatially less than buying a new pair?
Apart from the heel wear these boots are still immaculate, shame to do away with them just for this.

Shoecare are the people you want they care for shoes funnily enough. Seriously I will find some more info and an address.
Found it http://www.lsr.gb.com/walking_resole_refurb.htm they seem to be part of a bigger company now but that is what you need.
Anyone else with gear to repair they seem to do most things.

Give these a try:

I work for a specialist boot fitting company, and these are the only company that we've found to do resoles to a standard equivalent to new boots.
The prices are reasonable too.
Iv got a pair of meindl's and they said, when i bought them, if i sent them to the manufacturer they would resole them for a charge. have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

Will phone the people suggested on Monday. Thanks guys.
I haven't contacted Danner because there's an inconvenient ocean in between them and me. P&P alone would knock the price of having the job done considerably.

Anyone in the UK do DM's soles - they're the nearest I get to shoes for everyday use but I get through the soles in about 7 months - all that walking to work etc.

OK :o):
