another jacket question

I'm looking for a newe winter jacket to wear round about rather than when out palying seriously. I really fancy a Parker some sort - don't know why just do, think it with having a snorkle jacket many years ago.

I've narrowed it down to a choice of either a N3B or US issue fishtail - any comments. As at the moment the only difference I can get a N3B style in black where as the fishtail are only available in green.

I quiet like them but I only want to go to the pub so I was thinking £50 or so.

Never really sure about Parkas for most of the outdoor stuff I do - it is really cold out comes the Snugpak jacket, black on black (now Sasquatch I think)- very warm and no weight.

If you wait till the end of the season, you'll probably be able to pick up a NF McMurdo for at least half price (probably more) - that's what happened last year, just don't pay £220 :yikes:
