Can anybody tell me what these metal attachments are for on my webtex trauma pouch ?

I`m non-military so I don`t have a clue, if they`re no use they`re getting cut off.

The metal tongues are for fitting to a webbing belt in a fixed position, they slot into small pockets on the belt to stop it moving around the belt.If you just use the velcro and poppers it could slide on the belt.
The other bits are for attaching it to the yoke.

Cheers sapper that`s kind of what I thought.

I`ll cut the tongues off but leave the yokes on.

Why cut them off? Are they interfering with someone? I wouldn't have thought the weight saving would be significant and could they not come in useful some time?

Every ounce counts for me Bigshot I`m afraid, I`m a bit weird like that when it comes to carry weight on my back.

I`ll not throw them away so no doubt they`ll get used one day. I don`t wear a webbing belt so I`ll never need them as they were designed to be used.
