Can anyone tell me the difference between the 90Pattern and the 05 Issue Brit Army DPM Bivy bags please.

I could be wrong, but the 05 is gortex
the 90 I believe was just a water proofed nylon ?
And 15 years...:rolleyes:

Thre UK has only ever as far as I'm aware issued (general issue) 4 bivi bags to date with one modification in one of them.
1. The Arctic Nylon bivi bag with central zip-came with the arctic bag-useless
2. The olive goretex or equivelent bag with draw cord
3. the cammouflage double hooped bivibag
4. The cammouflage bivi bag in mvp with draw cord and wide opening
There is a version with an extra extra large opening.
At the moment there are several different versions being trialled, as far as I know, no decision has bene made yet on the outcome. The ltest wide mouth bag is far superior to all the previous issues ones however, the biggest complaint is that it is still small-leaving very little leg room width wise, and little room for personal admin and the awkwardness of getting in and out. (even though the bag is HUGE).
