It`s Scotland next week for me and a mate, four days and three nights of trekking and bushy shenanigans.
This is what I`m taking so far, any thoughts ??
Sabre 75 containing ,,,
Snugpak CG Elite 4
3/4 Thermarest
DPM Gortex bivvy bag
Nomad hammock + mossie net
3x3 DD tarp
Knife, saw & axe - (I know a little excessive but the axe needs a workout)
Fire starting bits and bobs
Hobbo stove
Bulldog billies
Cup
Brew kit
FAK
Toothbrush, paste, soap, deoderant & pack towel
1 change of clothes for evening
2 merino base layers
4 pairs of socks
DPM Goretex trousers
Ventile smock
Hat/gloves
Little Fm radio - (to catch Leeds match on Wednesday night)
Food for each day (mainly dehydrated stuff) nibbles/snack bars etc
1 litre of water (fresh water available on journey)
Grab bag containing torch, cyalumes, batteries, ortleib water bladder, paracord, compass, rizlas, spare lighter etc etc
Fishing rod/hand lines & various lures/spinners etc
think I`ve got it covered ?

You probably won't need the mossie net as the midgies have mostly croaked.

Any change of footwear for evening/pee in the middle of the night?

Its not on your list, but I'm shore you have Map of area (both 1:25 / 1:50) and compass.
If its as wet and cold as it is hear spare hat and gloves to wear while you dry the others out near the fire..
Goretex jacket? or are you 100% confident in the Ventile? :)
Fleece jacket or duvet jacket for the evenings?

Not really scanker, I`ll have some goretex socks which I can bimble about in though, space is a bit tight for spare footwear tbh.

If its as wet and cold as it is hear spare hat and gloves to wear while you dry the others out near the fire..
Picking up a 1:25,000 map tonight and I`ve got some print outs in 1:50,000
Should be able to squeeze some spare gloves in somwhere.

I`ve got a fleece which I`ll probably wear to set off in, but I am 95% confident in the Ventile :rolleyes:
Might even squeeze my Buffalo spec 6 shirt in too somewhere.

For clothing at this time of year i take my snugpack softie for warmth, a ventile windshirt and a very light cheap waterproof. These mixed with base layers etc are all i need. Base layer with a softie for wandering around when its a bit chilly, add the wentile smock for around fires and/or light rain and when its bucketing it down i throw on the cheap waterproof.
If you are getting water when travelling a shemagh or some fine material is handy to filter water before boiling or what ever filter method you use.
A small scowering pad/sponge for cleaning pots and pans helps.
Didnt see a FAK but im sure you have one.

2 x Ullfrotte 200g tops
1 x Craghopper merino top
1 x Fleece
1 x Swanni Extreme
1 x Ventile smock
Could throw in ....
Packable waterproof jacket
Buffalo Spec 6 shirt
I`ll be wearing an Ullfrotte, fleece/swanni and ventile to set off in.

They were hell yesterday where I am even next to the fire, the cold nights should sort them out soon.
