i have played with this idea for about a year now, ever since i saw a scandi knife i wondered if i could make something like that. I noticed many of you talking that flat grinds where the best so this is what i did it has a small mirco bevel on it for easy sharpening the blade is highly polished i did this to prevent rust on the blade as it is made of carbon steel (01) it can rust easy on a rough surface. The handle is going no where with seven stainless 5mm pins its tough as hell the scales are also glued with 2 ton devcon epoxy which i got from joe (ods). i treated the handle with lots of layers of danish oil. This is a tough user and i knife i always wanted i love it :p

and a posher one:

Looks nice, any details of sizes (blade/handle)

how is it for striking sparks and how long did it take? just curious... I have a nice Gene Ingram on order :-)

Looks quite a short blade (not that it's a bad thing). Have you done a sheath as well?

are those photos all of the same knife? the scales on the top one looks different to the rest... or is it just my untrained eye?
