This trip will be on bank holiday monday and we will be meeting up at the put in at ford street at 2 pm.
Pm me for more details.

I'd say canoing if there's a 'put in' involved ;)
I'm sure Greg would give you a lift in his canoe. Make sure you tie your hat on!

:D At the speed we paddle you could walk along the river and join us for the brew stops if you want or I am sure we could find space in a canoe if you fancied a go.

Ford St is just 5mins from my house so I might pop down to say hi.

I best give it a miss until I can actually canoe. but if anybody at any time IS going to a local pub, be sure to invite me along :)

You don't have to canoe... just sit in the front and be chaufered down the river :D

It's worth asking if someone has a spare (i've been borrowing one up until buying one yesterday) - As for swimming.. I'm not a particularly strong swimmer, and I went on a canoe holiday to Sweden.... my second time in a canoe

lol! Yes Im a bit on the small side. I know.. I met you at the Moot ;) ... wasn't having a dig btw.. Bouancy aids are sized according to physical size (so you don't slip out of them in the water) and bouyancy, in terms of the amount of 'lift' they give... Us 'big lads  ' need more bouancy than you delicate young ladies :) . They usually have plenty of size adjustment using straps and buckles.
Well if its ok with me hitching a lift, Ill (hopefully) be there. I say hopefully because I need to navigate the bank holiday travelling first. Ill be ok though. Ill send a text to let you know around 12, if thats ok.It'll be fun - just relax and enjoy the ride.. you'll have a great time :D

No no, us normal sensible people got out and watched!
Sorry Greg, I went bushwhacking with The Ratbag and Scruff. Scruff hasn't been on here in a while now, but he's doing fine and still cooks possibly the best bannock in the land. We ate like kings, and I even ate celery which I used to hate. It seems that it is OK when cooked, fancy that!
Anyway, I hope your day went well and you canoed the correct way up this time! Gagging to see some pictures! :D

Did anyone find out what all the rubber ducks were?
Ps - I just made a typo and typed "rubber dicks" that would really have got people wondering!

Right, I've finally got round to registering on here.
Thanks Greg for getting me out on the water again. It was fun until the next day when my legs were so stiff I could hardly walk!!
Hope we can do it again sometime.
