View Full Version : Basha / Bivvy Poles
A multi part question if anyone can help out.
Are Webtex the only maker / manufacturer of the bivvy poles that are purportedly used for bashas?
If they are the only maker are the poles any good?
I ask because the concensus on Webtex kit is that it is mainly for 'airsoft special forces' and not intended for serious [ab]use.
If there are better ones can I have a pointer please.
Thank you all.
Try a telescopic rod stand from your local fishing shop.

I think they are made from a certain manufacturer and webtex have taken to buying a load. you cant go too far wrong with a pole though. I normally use upended walking poles and you can buy those cheap now :)

I have yet to have a problem with Web-tex kit so their poles should be fine.

I bought a pack of Eurohike replacement tent poles from Millets, cut them to 1/2 metre lengths and use them.
Im using 1 web tex pole and one taller hazel thumb stick for walking, for a poncho set up.
RVOps have their own basha-pole as well, no idea what they're like though.

I just had a look at their site, the video looks promising.

I have the Webtex poles. They are fine in use. My only advice when using them is to have a spare butterfly screw (for adjusting the height) as you will almose certainly loose one.

Well I've got a couple of the RVOps poles and I'm very happy with them. They're sturdy, very well priced and the service is superb.
