Ive just noticed a Pipedream200 product on the alpkit site, Im positive it wasnt there last week as ive been pouring over the site just before i bought my pipedream600 bag.

however I really like the design of this in that its like a half sleeping bag with a smock/waistcoat bit at the top you then pull over a down jacket.

given a pipedream600 is £130 and the pipedream200 is £65, coupled with a mid range goose down jacket at £70ish youve got a nice sleeping system that could be very good for a hammock.

Anyone else seen or used these ?

This is not a bushcrafting get up - it's for lightweight alpine mountaineering. It's specialist kit for going fast and light when comfort is not a concern. They are for guys who want to shave grams and don't mind sleeping a bit cold to achieve it. They are not as warm as sleeping bags and I would argue that you're better off with a Pipedream, as they absolutely superb value.

sleeping a bit cold is not my idea of fun right enough. I like to have my arms free of the bag usually when im nodding off although when it is cold im not long in brining them in.
