I picked up an old army tent recently, one of the 7ft A-frames.
Strictly a "with car" option it's spacious an smells like a "real" tent.
One downside, no groundsheet. I'm not sure they're made as when I used these long ago and far away it was with duckboards and '58 cots.
Anyone know where I could get a suitable sheet cut and finished to size?

Hey GP Have a look at 'Machine Mart'. They do many sizes of tarp that are rotproof etc and are cheap. Just cut one down to the desired size (they do em in camo too if you want) :biggthump

Try a chap called Spike Marlin, he's an ex Royal Navy rigger that works feom home making just about anything that could be of use from canvas, cordura, nylon, rope wire etc..etc..etc.

Tell him what you want and you will be shocked at the quality and price.

He even made a custom canvas roof for my brothers Land Rover.
