Hey all. i have been very lucky and come into a little bit of money, (please dont think of that as a brag) i am not going to waste it all but would like to treat myself to a little something that i normally wouldnt consider buying myself. apart from a new rucksack (which i am currently waiting on) can anybody suggest something as i have most of the kit i need.

I know you guys know how to spend money;)

Fire away!

Thanks.

i read somewhere that it was reasonably easy to get what you need, its when you get what you want that the trouble starts! trouble is what do we want? my list is just about endless but, i would treat my self to a sleep system that i was comfortable with that really gave me a good nights sleep, at least then i could wake up refreshed and ready to enjoy all the other nice things i have and want!:lmao: ;)

i shall be purchasing my booshmoot ticket thats for sure:D

dont get me wrong, i havent won the lottery or anything. (unfortunately) just got an opportunity to treat myself. (which doesnt happen very often since my boiler died in the middle of winter:(

however if i had alot more i would buy a massive patch of forest in sweden and you would all be invited!:grouphug:

well see what kit you want to upgrade and do thatI'm doing that with an inheritance while I'm buying a wood burner for the house - or you could buy one of those patches of scottish estate on ebay. a couple of hundred quid buys you a 1000sqft of woodland with free access to the rest of it so you camp and burn in your bit taking what you want from everybody elses and your water from the loch :)

I am so tempted but want to check it out first incase its midge alley.

Don't waste your money, 100sq ft is 30m by 30m approx. Plus, you can light fires, and have free access to almost everywhere in scotland.
You can also take water from lochs as long as they are clean. I prefer small streams.

thats plenty big enough - I know there's all that right to roam up there now but somewhere you can call yours and do what you want with like building a wattle and daub hut would be fun I reckon :)

But for building, I think you might need planning permision, and I'm sure their is some loophole which allows the selling of these small bits of land for just owning, and not building on.
