I browsed my favorite knife-parts supplier brisa (http://www.brisa.fi) and saw that they have now listed an outdoors section. The items advertised there are firesteels for 7 euro a piece. The lowest price I have seen so far.
I do not know if this was posted before, but I thought you might wanted to know this.
