I use one, and yes they are worth it. very tough and robust. I use a 4l one as a base camp watersource
bizarrely I found Woodlore to be the cheapest site when I was buying mine. (I know, I know, who would have thought it ;))

double post
I'd say they are worth it. They're a good deal more durable than most other bladder-type water carriers, have that extremely useful cord around the edge (great for hanging from a convenient tree) and are pretty light. If I have one, very small gripe, it's with the cap arrangement: the flick-out nozzle thing is not that convenient. It is a very minor gripe so I would go and get one, if I were you.
Yes, they're very good. I have the 10L one for family camping. I've not yet found anything superior for water storage. I agree about the nozzle, best to get the spigot cap as well. Chris
Just a thought, but you probably don't need the weight saving of a dromedary bag over hard bottles when canoeing, in which case the extra expense (and risk of puncture) might be unnecessary.

thanks guys good info , there are 3 of us going on a week long trip so if we all chip in it works out cheap enough, Hard bottles are a good idea i use a tough one now but the cap always leaks so looking for something a bit better
5l water bottles from the supermarket - seem to last for ages and already full of drinkable water. Then use the empty bottles for home brew.
