Ps Did I read that they should be stored inflated or not compressed or something?

No, just flat. slide 'em under the bed and they are out of the way. You probably could fold them though.

Mats like this have a tendency to "remember" shape, so if you leave it folded it will tend to keep the foldline under-inflated. I stand mine up behind the study door, nicely out of the way.
I prop mine (Thermarest) up behind the wardrobe, valve open, out of the way of the cats!
Had it for 6 or so years without a problem this way.

Which mat did you get Tommy? I see they are doing a 'buy two and save a tenner' deal on some of their mats at the moment. I quite fancy a 'Fat' one.

I've got a regular Airic and think it's more than comfy enough, thinking about getting some Wee Airics for more lightweight use in summer... (probably buy 2 and get the discount, always someone who joins a trip without proper mat) My ex had a lot of troubles with her back and I got her a Fat Airic, she loved it (although really heavy and huge pack size imo)
I store mine flat with the valve open, if you have a basecamp and it gets hot in the day you should also open the valve to avoid damage due to air getting warmer and expanding.
