When I tried to click into the forum yesterday (31/03/08) a screen with this this message came up:

'Hey, it worked !
The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was
successfully installed on this website.
If you can see this page, then the people who own this website have just installed the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.

ATTENTION!
If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending mail to <webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running the Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to the Apache Group, so please do not send mail about this site or its contents to the Apache authors. If you do, your message will be ignored.
The Apache online documentation has been included with this distribution.
Especially also read the mod_ssl User Manual carefully.

Your are allowed to use the images below on your SSL-aware Apache Web server.
Thanks for using Apache, mod_ssl and OpenSSL!'

The 'title' in the blue bar at the top of the page reads: 'Test Page for the SSL/TLS-aware Apache Intallation on Web Site' and the screen page has a feather in the background.

This is the message I receive when trying to enter through Favourites AND if I type the URL into ggogle. I tried in the afternoon and again, in the late evening. I then popped over to BritishBlades and saw that the server swap had gone ahead and thought that there had been 'problems'.
When I tried to get in today I got the same message as above - so over to BB again to see if there was any info available - and found that others had been able to get onto the site and post - the upshot is that, at the moment, my only way onto this forum is through BritishBlades (By the way - :You_Rock_ )

I don't think there's anything that will be stopping you getting on the site directly, have you emptied your cache?

The message you received yesterday was due to us messing with some DNS stuff at the last minute and was up for a couple of hours. I'm fairly sure that access is good for everyone and i know the server is nice and fast.

If you clean things out and it's still an issue let me know.;)

Hi Tony,

Having had a play and recreated the link to Favourite, via the link I used to get in to the forum, it appears that only the front page is affected (I'm yet to clear the cache - because I need to work out how to :o ) - if I click on Home from Forums or New Posts on the new link I still get the Test Page message.

Hi Tony,

Cache has now been cleared (it's good to learn new stuff). On clearing the cache I retried the home page - no go. On the off-chance I shut down the computer incase it needed to 'settle' but when restarted I'm still getting the Test Page.

When I sign into the front page (http://www.bushcraftuk.com/) my computer beeps twice and says "This website wants to run the following add on: MSXML 5.0 from microsoft" blah blah blah.

Now I don't know about anyone else but I am downloading bugger all unless theres a decent explanation as to why I need it, seems that I can ignore the message anyway and whatever it is I am missing out on can't be that important anyway as I can use the site without it.

It only does it when I go on the main page but as I have to go there before getting onto the forums its every time I visit from another site, I didn't know what it was all about so didn't download it.

Hasn't really made any discernable difference to my browsing after I go off the front page anyway.

No worries and I'm not losing sleep over it, I just wondered what it was before downloading it.

So I wont.

Cheers anyway, regards Scott.
