This is my first attempt at doing anything like this. Its a bit rough round the edges and i have left out the tooth pick and tweezers slot.http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii61/Paullyfuzz/Bushcraft/DSC00804.jpg

Looks Great! How does one take of the old handle scales?? I am intereted in doing this myself, and since it is fresh in your memory, any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Piece of **** to take the plastic scales off. Just get a thin bladed kitchen knife in between the scales and prize off, really very easy.
Nice work there, looks good to me.

Oh, forgot to mention. This was a locking knife, however since re handling, ive got rid of the locking mech and also ground the blade shorter, so now its perfectly legal .

That is a good attempt. I've been thinking of doing that to a SAK locking-knife so that it is legal to EDC.
I do have 2 custom SAKs, but they were done for me by a chap in the USA; you can see mine in this section.

The key to doing this successfully, is getting the face thats gonna be glued to the sak absolutely flat and level. Oh, and not to use too much epoxy like i did. Took me a fecking age to get it off. The only equipment i used was an old bench grinder, a chizel,( i know thats spelt wrong, but you know what i mean), and some sand paper. Its finished with a combination of linseed oil and Bees/carnuba wax.
