'New Posts' order

Not sure here, but shouldn't the search generated by the 'New Posts' button be listed newest first, oldest last? I know recently it's been doing strange things with me, but I'm fairly certain thats what should happen, only it's kind of mixing them all up, in any old order it like it would seem...
