It makes good business sense to buy a box of them and sell 2 a week on ebay. If you could find enough desired but obtainable books you could make a healthy living I suspect.

Problem being they are out of print so there are no new ones to buy hence the astronomical ebay madness kicking in.

Having said that if I ever see another one in a secondhand shop I will be getting it and counting the profit when I rip off the stupid masses on the bay :-)

Another one on ebay, still reasonably priced 'cos no-one's bid on it yet!!

(It's not mine, in fact nothing to do with me - my daughter can prise my copy out of my cold, dead hands when the time comes...)

Usually about fifty quid :yikes: :o):

This book is usually reckoned to be Mears' best book to date, with some pundits observing that his books are getting more anodyne...

so there is no difference? save the cover and the price tag

There's a huge difference! The Outdoor Survival Handbook is the more general book and covers a lot of ground quite concisely. If I remember rightly, the Survival Handbook is organised around seasonal activities - I don't have a copy and have only flicked through that one
