Hi, everyone...
I am kind of new here, and just wanted to say hi!

I am always interested in info from VERY different points of view, and to try kit(your word for equipment, right???) from around the world.

Just got me a Martindale Golok and Paratrooper to try out...Got such a good deal on them that I could not resist.

I want to compair them to the Woodmans Pal http://woodmanspal.com/ that I have. Though it would probabally be better to compair them to some of your Billhooks http://www.woodlandorganics.com/shop/edgedtools/billhooks/ ...

BTW are those (http://www.woodlandorganics.com/shop/edgedtools/billhooks/) good billhooks? It that a good price for the set? Is that a good starter set?

Welcome aboard to BCUK
Any questions you have please feel free to ask.
And to answer your first one...

Yes they are. Jack sources his billhooks from a decent foundry that know their steels and are tempered correctly for the job.... be warned there are alot of :censored: hooks out there.... you couldn't do much better.
The set that is offered is designed for hurdle makers ;-) thatchers would use different ones.... so it depends what you want to do with them. I'd suggest just getting one hook and see how you get on with it.... the newton is a good all-rounder.

Hope this helps a bit ;-)
