I can highly recomend SWC = Stephen Wade Cox

The knife that Steve made for me is the second one from the top.

Mate, there's a whole world of knife blanks out there. Many makers on British Blades regularly sell blanks for a darn sight less than the RM blanks and in a lot more varieties.

You can get kits too, which supply you with everything you need to make a knife, including the sheath.

The s-w-c blanks that Steve27752 linked to above are good, and as close to a Woodlore copy as you'll find.

I'm in a bit of a rush to post this but I'll come back later and add a few links :)

EDIT: This site has been recommended to me before. Prices don't include German vat (16%)http://www.dick.biz/cgi-bin/dick.storefront/4789491a00103c36273f50f3360905 b3/ChangeLanguage/EN?alibidata=1
Just type 'knife kit' into the search function of the site.

This place also has a large selection of knife blanks.

I made a knife from the trapper blade they sell.

The knife next to the Mora:

I'm going to be getting an SWC woodlore clone when I get paid. :)

Just had a look on the swc site for the first time in ages. I didn't realise they did a stock-removal kit. And at £15, that's very good value :)

I'm a tempted man...
